Why does artificial turf need cleaning at all?

The fibres flatten with use and the infill compacts, so it starts looking matted rather than laid. Organic debris also works its way down where you cannot see it. Power-brooming lifts the pile and resets the infill, which is most of what makes turf look new again.

Does it get rid of pet smell?

That needs the sanitizing treatment, not just a groom. Rinsing moves odour around; the treatment neutralizes the bacteria causing it. If you have dogs, that is the part that matters.

Is the treatment safe for pets and children?

Yes, once the surface is dry. We will tell you how long to keep everyone off before we leave.

Quarterly for a household with dogs, twice a year for turf that is mostly decorative. Heavy-use areas and pet corners often need attention between full visits.
